Is PinPoint free ?

If you are visually impaired, yes, but you will have to request a special registration key from us. Otherwise, no. With the free licence for the visually impaired, you cannot add you own pointers, but you will no longer get the warnings and the product will be registered under your name.

Is the downloadable version of PinPoint crippled ?

Yes. The version of PinPoint you can download prevents you from adding your own Pointers. You will also get a warning every time you launch PinPoint and the Preference Pane will say "Unregistered". We think this is enough to try out the functionality of the software. If you think you deserve a free copy and are not visually impaired, let us know why and we'll see what we can do. Is the downloadable version of PinPoint time-limited ? No. You will be able to use PinPoint in demo mode, but you are required to register after trying it out. You will simply keep on getting the message on launch and will not be able to add your own Pointers until you register.

Why doesn't PinPoint completely replace the pointer ?

We have not found a way to replace the pointer globaly. If we do, we'll certainly look into that.

I'd love to have a different pointer from the choices available, can I change the pointers ?

Once you register your copy of PinPoint 2, you will be able to drag new Pointers in the Preference Pane and name them as you like.
